Canna ‘Alice McGuigan’ is a tall Crozy Group cultivar; dark foliage, upright habit; round main stems, coloured purple; flowers are reflexed, burnt-red rayed with apricot, throat apricot, staminodes are medium size, edges irregular, petals purple, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured purple; tillering is prolific.

Introduced by Thor Dalebö, Claines Canna Collection, Lower Normandy, France. in 2006. The breeding is C. Ingebourg x open
