Canna ‘Phasion’ is a medium-sized Italian Group cultivar; green, bronze and pink variegated foliage, ovoid shaped, red margin, branching habit; oval main stems, coloured red; flowers are open, tangerine-orange and burnt-red, staminodes are large, edges frilled, petals purple with farina, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in August until frosts in northern temperate zone, blooms open in the early morning; seed is sterile, pollen is sterile; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and purple; tillering is average.

To retain the colour of the foliage, it is better grown in some dappled shade (actually, this is true of all cannas with brown or red leaves).
